Learning , the myths

I have a lot of friends a few of them are doctors some of them are professors a lot of them are engineers just like me and a bit of them are the students of colleges and schools . I have experienced them , their level of intellectual and understandings as well as their thinking power and this is the day I am going to share what I have conclude and what are my thoughts.

It is quite clear to say that this universe is full of people and almost 95 percent are totally different to each other for instance their appearance , their physic , their views , their opinions and ideas , their level of understanding as well as thinking power and many other uncountable things.

Many of my university mates and when I was in college and before college in my school days my friends , some of them used to say that "when ever we got some free time we read read and read but unfortunately we got 50 per cent of our struggle " and some of them used to say "I got zero percent of my efforts " believe me gentlemen there were some students who used to say that I just read books only for an hour and they got brilliant marks in exams.

Class is the mixture of brilliant , shiny , glowing . medium , and sorry to say nil students. Nil students can't focus on lectures and some people used to say that they are not mentally present in class. Medium students they are in class but a bit of their concentration being lost somewhere else. Whereas as far as concern of brilliant ,shiny and glowing students there are many school of thoughts that they are God gifted and they are special and many other things just like that.

Gentlemen stay with me.Now I am going to explain some myths about studying , learning and memorizing , if you give me your attentions I will give you somethings new yes, the more you read the more you know. Are you still with me? if you are , then that's great okay here we go.

Myth 1 : Memory is a thing

Gentlemen  here I would like to ask you a very simple question that what is memory? keep in mind this is not a physical thing . Let me figure it out , technically speaking memory is a process to recall something , something you learned , something you saw , something you listened in near past or remote past. Good memories bad memories , the thing is you can remember well or poor.

There is a second half of this memory as well. Our memories are not being stored in a specific box or in a single place in our brain , they are just linking to the same kind of memories and being stored in different places in our mind.
So moral is, memory is a "thing" in your head ? no definitely not, it is not.

Myth 2 : Energy drinks are great help during learning

Well , to be honestly I am also the guy who used to say that energy drinks makes better for learning and studying but this is a myth. No problem now I am going to explain why this is a myth and why this is not a fact as people used to seem. Many energy drink companies are earning billions of dollars in a single year thereby students often become a target of adverts which argue that energy drinks allow you to memories new information more effectively and more smoothly.

Firstly, too big a dose of caffeine is very unhealthy for the body, you feel alert at first but after a couple of hours you start to lose concentration and cannot focus on studying. Secondly, such beverages contain a lot of sugar which means that although you experience an energy boost for a short while, you soon feel completely out of form. Finally you must be aware that energy drinks rinse out the magnesium and potassium from your system both of which are essential during the studying process.

Myth 3 : People only used 10 percent of their mind

You may often listen that mostly people only used 10 percent or less of their brain but unfortunately it is not true and very crystal reason behind this is until yet there is no such an instrument from which we can measure that how much of our brain we are using .

Important thing that how people use their brain's potential and concentration to solve their problem or learn the things. Dr. Higbee wrote in his book because he believes that by training our memories we can all improve our learning and memory.Whether we use 1 percent , 10 or 90 percent doesn't matter. By learning memory skills, we can improve our memory and brain power if we make the effort.

Myth 4 : Remembering too much causes clutter of your mind

Gentlemen to what extend you agree with this statement and disagree? Perhaps most of the people will agree with this statement and I am the one of those people.Your ability to remember things does not really depend on how much information is in your mind. Actually, it depends on how well organized the information is.Our brains can store an almost unlimited amount of information. But if the information in your mind is disorganized, it will be harder to remember things.

In some ways, the more you dig the more you got something precious. Someone who is an expert in a subject has an easier time learning new facts about it that someone unfamiliar with the subject. Learning new things does not fill up or replaced by the old memories in the mind. The storage capacity of your memory is virtually unlimited as well as bottomless. So don't be shy , hesitate or afraid of learning.

Myth 5 : You can boost your memory with memory pills

Mostly the people they are not easy with memorizing , learning or studying as well most probably they think that why don't we try memory pills for the revival of our memorizing power and beat the other rivals in class well my friend you better don't do so because this is not gonna work further most there are some drawbacks of taking pills.

Countless medicine companies are trying to market various drugs and supplements with claims of improved memory but the truth is they just trying to earn money and make you people fool. So don't be a fool and don't trust any kind of medicine or drug that can improve your learning stamina.

Myth 6 : Memory gets worse as we age

Globally, aging affects on all the organs in human body. Hence the overwhelming belief that memory unavoidably gets rusty at an older age.You may have heard someone say they were too old to learn. This is another one of the false memory myths.

While it is true that some people find remembering a more difficult as they age, anyone can learn new things. A elderly person who uses memory skills can actually remember better than a 20 year old who does not. No matter what is you age you can learn things and recall them easily if you are not victim of any kind of disease.

Myth 7 : Long sleep is good for memory

The longer we sleep the longer we healthy, no absolutely not the longer you sleep the more you become lazy and dump. And you gentlemen will surely agree with this statement of mine .  All we need for effective learning is well-structured sleep at the right time and of the optimum length. Many individuals sleep less than 5 hours and wake up refreshed. The best formula for good sleep: listen to your body. Go to sleep when you are sleepy and sleep as long as you need.

Myth 8 : Some people are stuck with bad memories

I had a son he was very responsible and five years ago in the evening of December he turned into cadaver just after hit by a car and still he is alive in my heart I can hear him I can see him because he was my son and he was a part of my heart these are called bad memories and many people now a days just ruin their lives nevertheless this is nature and we need to forget that because we have to enjoy our remaining life.

Gentlemen you can't enjoy you life unless and until you leave those bad memories behind and let yourself to move forward never let your self to move backward and this is the solid truth of your life my friend.

Myth 9 : Learn new things before you sleep

Because of the research showing the importance of sleep in learning, there is a widespread myth claiming that the best time for learning is right before sleep. This is supposed to ensure that newly learned knowledge gets quickly consolidated overnight.

Whenever you want to learn of course my dear you can do because technically your mind is ready for the task i.e learn something new. Again the more you are interested in the more you got.

Myth 10 : Well trained memory never forgets

Some people think that once they train their memory, they will never forget anything they see, do, or hear. The truth is that once you train your memory, you will be able to remember things you want to remember. If you learn memory skills, you will still forget things, too. But you will remember things better than other people, and you will remember things better than you used to.

Research suggests that no one ever forgets anything. Everything we experience is buried deep in our minds. The problem is that we cannot get the information out when we need it.Memory skills give you the "hook" that lets you get the information out when you need it.

Ladies and gentle men you are free to share your ideas and opinions.
