"XYZ"

Mankind under the vast and endless multi shaded sky is undisputed creature of ALLAH sovereignty. Necessity is the mother of invention. Form inception to until yet and from yet to until end The Dooms Day men is creating, discovering and inventing things as their accord. Let me tell you undisputed invention made by men is the wheel. Yes I am not in gaming mode and you are not day dreaming. There is not any machine in which wheel is being used no matter it might be a simple Rolls Royce or B12 fighter jet or Allure of the seas or L Zero Maglev (train) .

For survival humans are using clothes plus food from very beginning. What do you thing? The clothes and the food were magically discovered or produced if your answer is positive then you better go sleep and take rest and then come back and if your answer is negative then you are on right way. As I early said necessity is the mother of invention means if you need something go and produce that thing by self and if you are just like me then don’t be shy to spend your rupees. Let me show you simple example of “necessity is the mother of invention”.

Now a days shelter is one of the basic need for mankind to survive on the surface of this polluted and heaven type hell earth. For this purpose humans tend to build their houses and in generally and roughly, collection of houses can be termed as a colony or even city. Dear beautiful  and innocent girls, romantic and responsible ladies and descent and sincere gentlemen and dashing as well as smart boys please allow me to ask you a very simple question, question is tell me either you can guess the topic of today’s article or not? Thereby on the behalf of this question I mentioned the topic of my article as XYZ. Don’t be shy to post your descent and formal answers of my question below in comment box.

Ups and downs are the nature of this life. No one can deny from this acrid reality. Once you open your eyes in the lap of your mother and breathe in the smelled air of (often) hospital. Now your mother use to call you a little baby girl or baby boy.

After gradually increment in your age your status is being changed from little baby to baby then boy after that, men and then the old men and what happens to old men the aged persons? Quite obvious you will be a cadaver, a dead body after death and I am sure you are on my side having same thoughts.

The thing I am on writing today is one of the new wonders of the world; tell me again did you got the right answer? Okay leave that brainstorming and let me answer. The answer is City of Petra Jordan. City of Petra is one of the latest 7 wonders of the world. The whole city was built in the result of carving, chisel and shaping the mountains and the hills in desert of Jordan by mankind. There are many beautiful and marvellous murals as well as designs on the floor, on the walls, on the main entrance, the gate. Take a look of main entrance of the City of Petra.

From now to onward I will endeavour to describe each and every aspect of Petra City from every angle. Without any doubt it is one of the most antique treasures of Jordan. Now a day The City of Petra is being consider the hub of ancient architecture and attracts tourists all over the world. Marvellous collection of stone sculptures and reliefs, ceramics, metalwork, artwork, in various media and other priceless artefacts.

Meaning of Petra is “Rock”. Arab tribe Nabataea’s carved this city into mountains as well as cliffs several centuries befor Christ’s birth and currently it is one of the new 7 wonders of the world. Petra was rediscovered in 1812 by a Swedish explorer name Hohan Ludwing Burckhardt during his expedition. It’s all about its history.

Now let me tell you a little bit about location of Petra City. Petra is lies about 3-5 hours south of modern Amman capital of Jordan and about 2 hours north of Aqaba on the edges of mountainous desert of Wadi Araba. The city is surrounded by towering hills of rust coloured sandstone. Area is totally semiarid thereby it allowed the Nabataeans to carve their temples and tombs into the rock crumbling easily to sand.

As far as concern of mine I like the colours of rocks some are yellow pale and many of them are of royal reds as well as brown just like wood.  Rust colour stratums make the cliffs eye catching and attractive.

The Siq

As often all houses or colonies or even cities tend to have a main entrance usually called main entrance or main gate. Same case is with Petra City, from the official main entrance of ancient city of Petra called The Siq. Giant passageway having some points of 3 meter wide.  Actually  Nabataeans were expert in hydraulic engineers. The walls of the Siq are lined with channels to carry drinking water to the city when a dam, just right of the entrance diverted an adjoining stream through a tunnel to prevent it flooding the Siq. As you enter in Siq the walls tower up hundreds of meters on either sides.

The Khazneh

The name Khazneh comes from the legend that it was used as a hiding place for treasure. Literally meaning of Khazneh is “The Treasury”. Al Khazneh is one of the most elaborate temples in the ancient city of Petra. Best known of monuments at Petra, the Khazneh is also the first to greet the visitors arriving via the Siq. Walls on both sides of gorge are 40 m high.

Hub of Petra

All human beings have different thoughts, view and different approaches to analysing situations. My view is hub of human body is its mind(brain) but perhaps many of you or might be some of you will disagree with this statement because they you are considering most valuable part of human body is it’s heart. In the case of Petra city its mind(hub) lies about the open ground of the Wadi Musa. Vast pathway leads to the open main street of Roman Petra.

Sophisticated and descent comments will be appreciated.

Bermuda Triangle Part 1

Some of you will familiar with this name or term but perhaps many of you will definitely not. Don’t worry ladies and gentlemen I am here to make you understand what this Bermuda Triangle is. Generally and roughly, Bermuda Triangle is a triangular area located within the frontiers of four islands named Miami, Florida, the island of Bermuda, and San Juan Puerto Rico in western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where enormous aircraft and ships and people disappeared mysteriously.

I know, sitting in front of screens having very sharp and bright colours this will make you bore, tire and exhaust believe me , I assure you ladies and gentlemen if you my dear give me your all attention for a while you will see this interesting. Stay with me and read something new. The whole context is divided in three parts and this is the first part so let’s enjoy.

Bermuda Triangle did not receive its famous informal title until 1964 while on the other hand strange things and its weirdness recorded by Christopher Columbus in October 11, 1492 so it is quite clear to say that Columbus discovered it very first time.

Presumably Columbus compass went haywire and just after that he along with his crew enjoyed weird lights in the sky. Now if everything is fine then a question ought to flash in your mind that what the happened with compass why his compass went haywire? Let me answer this question actually his compass came in contact with true north and magnetic north. You better not confuse with these terms ,true north and magnetic north. Another historical event attributed to the Bermuda Triangle was the discovery of the Mary Celeste in 1892.

After that, intensity of weirdness increased suddenly as well as rapidly, Second U.S. vessel known as U.S.S. Cyclops built for United States Navy before World War 1 named Cyclops because of its giant and huge size at that time, disappear with 306 crew and passengers without leaving any trace within the area known as Bermuda Triangle. This disappearance was one of the most classical and single largest loss of life in U.S. Naval history. On 1 June 1918, Assistant Secretary of the Navy Franklin D. Roosevelt declared Cyclops to be officially lost and all hands deceased.

It was thinking that perhaps because of wartime she was captured or sunk by German submarine, because she was carrying almost 11000 tons of mineral Manganese used to produce weapons and ammunitions but German authorities denied any knowledge of vessel. The Navel History and Heritage Command have stated that she probably sank in an unexpected storm but the important thing is the cause of disappearance is still unknown.

August 19, 1920, Deering prepared to sail from Norfolk to Rio de Janeiro with a cargo of coal. The ship was captained by William H. Merritt. Merritt’s son, Sewall was his first mate. He had a ten man crew. On August 22, 1920 Deering left Newport News. After a few days Merritt fell ill and had to be left off at the port of Lewes along with his son. W.B. Wormell , retired 66 year old captain, to replace him. Charles B. Mc Lellan was hired on as first mate.

Vessel set sail again for Rio de Janeiro ON September 8, 1920. After that ship was sighted at Cape Lookout by Lightship in North Carolina on January 28, 1921. Lightship keeper, Captain Jacobson reported that an infirm man with red hairs having remote accent told him that the vessel had lost its anchors. But unfortunately radio was out of service and thereby he was unable to report. Jacobson noticed that the crew seemed to be milling around on the deck of ship, an area where they were usually not allowed.

On January 31, 1921 Deeing was sighted run aground in Diamond Shoals that has long been notorious for its reputation as a common site of shipwrecks. The Ship’s log and navigation gadgets as well as crew’s personal effects and ship’s two lifeboats were gone were gone.

There were a lot of different theories related to this investigation. It is thought that some kind of external powers were involved in this weirdness. On April 11, 1921 Christopher Columbus Gray argued that he found a message in bottle floating at coast of Buxton.

The theme of message was ”Deering captured by oil burning boat something like chaser. Taking off everything handcuffing crew. Crew hiding all over ship chance to make escape. Finder please notify headquarters deering”

Hand writing was confirmed by the widow of Captain Wormell and bottle was proven to have been made by Brazil. At the end all research went fruitless and no explanation for the disappearance of the crew in the area known as Bermuda Triangle. 1925, 1 December S.S. Cotopaxi departed Charleston , and two days earlier bound for Havana and via call it was reported that ship was sinking and at that time officially she listed as ship wreck on 31 December .

In 1941, 23 November Proteus U.S.S. sister ship to the Cyclops and the Nereus. Sailing from saint Thomas to Atlantic seaports. Lost with all hands along with a crew of 58. After that in 1943 ,19 July Martin Mariner Air plane, it is believed that plane lost 150 miles south of Norfolk with 19 persons. Five Navy bomber air planes disappear right one year before Flight 19 in December 1944 just after this incident in January 1945 B-25 Airplane lost between the area of Bermuda as well as Azores along with 19 innocent people and same year in July 18, PB-4YW Navy privateer airplane lost somewhere in Miami, Florida and Bahamas.

One of the most popular mysteries of Bermuda triangle was Flight 19 on December 5, 1945. A group of five Navy Avenger bombers departed from the Naval Air Station at Fort Lauderdale, Florida at 2:10 in afternoon. It was a routine practice mission and the all the pilots were students except for Commander Lt. Charles Taylor. But nature betrayed them and they vanished while they were in practice mission in Bermuda Triangle. For rescue another plane sent to figured out what happened but rescue plane was also disappeared same as group of bomber planes.

The sea was moderate to rough. The general weather conditions were considered average for training flights. After one and half hour in the air, Lt. Robert Cox at base got a radio transmission for Taylor. Taylor indicates that his compass went haywire and not working but on the basis of his experience he believed himself to be somewhere over Florida Keys. After visualize the condition Cox said him to fly toward Miami if Taylor was sure the flight was over the Keys.

With passage of time everything is being improved same as technology and science. Now a days very simple and cheap air plane has a number of ways they to check their current location via digital equipments just like radar screen or Global Positioning Satellites GPS in orbit around the earth thereby it is impossible for a pilot to get lost if he has right equipment and know how to use them properly. But unfortunately technology was not too much developed in 1945 and that’s why planes flying over water had to depend on knowing their starting position for instance how long and fast they had flown and in what direction. In such scenario if pilot by chance made a mistake with any of these then without any doubt he was lost under the endless sky and above the surface of blue giant ocean.

It is said that Taylor had become confused at some point during his flight. But he was an experienced and lettered men. After sometime Taylor thought that flight is going in wrong direction headed south instead of east. At 4:45 P.M. it was very easy and clear to suggest that Taylor was lost. Then at 6:20 P.M. Dumbo flying boat was sent to find Flight 19 and guide it back and within hour two more planes joined the search. The weather was getting rough in same time Avengers, their fuel tanks was about to empty.

Very last transmission from Flight 19 was heard at 7:04 P.M. Planes searched the area for entire night and next day too. There were no signs of Avengers and with this the whole drama ended. One thing you my dear, must remember that disappearance of Flight 19 is still a mystery.

Remaining two parts will be discussed soon. Sophisticated comments and thoughts will be appreciated and welcomed.

Learning , the myths

I have a lot of friends a few of them are doctors some of them are professors a lot of them are engineers just like me and a bit of them are the students of colleges and schools . I have experienced them , their level of intellectual and understandings as well as their thinking power and this is the day I am going to share what I have conclude and what are my thoughts.

It is quite clear to say that this universe is full of people and almost 95 percent are totally different to each other for instance their appearance , their physic , their views , their opinions and ideas , their level of understanding as well as thinking power and many other uncountable things.

Many of my university mates and when I was in college and before college in my school days my friends , some of them used to say that "when ever we got some free time we read read and read but unfortunately we got 50 per cent of our struggle " and some of them used to say "I got zero percent of my efforts " believe me gentlemen there were some students who used to say that I just read books only for an hour and they got brilliant marks in exams.

Class is the mixture of brilliant , shiny , glowing . medium , and sorry to say nil students. Nil students can't focus on lectures and some people used to say that they are not mentally present in class. Medium students they are in class but a bit of their concentration being lost somewhere else. Whereas as far as concern of brilliant ,shiny and glowing students there are many school of thoughts that they are God gifted and they are special and many other things just like that.

Gentlemen stay with me.Now I am going to explain some myths about studying , learning and memorizing , if you give me your attentions I will give you somethings new yes, the more you read the more you know. Are you still with me? if you are , then that's great okay here we go.

Myth 1 : Memory is a thing

Gentlemen  here I would like to ask you a very simple question that what is memory? keep in mind this is not a physical thing . Let me figure it out , technically speaking memory is a process to recall something , something you learned , something you saw , something you listened in near past or remote past. Good memories bad memories , the thing is you can remember well or poor.

There is a second half of this memory as well. Our memories are not being stored in a specific box or in a single place in our brain , they are just linking to the same kind of memories and being stored in different places in our mind.
So moral is, memory is a "thing" in your head ? no definitely not, it is not.

Myth 2 : Energy drinks are great help during learning

Well , to be honestly I am also the guy who used to say that energy drinks makes better for learning and studying but this is a myth. No problem now I am going to explain why this is a myth and why this is not a fact as people used to seem. Many energy drink companies are earning billions of dollars in a single year thereby students often become a target of adverts which argue that energy drinks allow you to memories new information more effectively and more smoothly.

Firstly, too big a dose of caffeine is very unhealthy for the body, you feel alert at first but after a couple of hours you start to lose concentration and cannot focus on studying. Secondly, such beverages contain a lot of sugar which means that although you experience an energy boost for a short while, you soon feel completely out of form. Finally you must be aware that energy drinks rinse out the magnesium and potassium from your system both of which are essential during the studying process.

Myth 3 : People only used 10 percent of their mind

You may often listen that mostly people only used 10 percent or less of their brain but unfortunately it is not true and very crystal reason behind this is until yet there is no such an instrument from which we can measure that how much of our brain we are using .

Important thing that how people use their brain's potential and concentration to solve their problem or learn the things. Dr. Higbee wrote in his book because he believes that by training our memories we can all improve our learning and memory.Whether we use 1 percent , 10 or 90 percent doesn't matter. By learning memory skills, we can improve our memory and brain power if we make the effort.

Myth 4 : Remembering too much causes clutter of your mind

Gentlemen to what extend you agree with this statement and disagree? Perhaps most of the people will agree with this statement and I am the one of those people.Your ability to remember things does not really depend on how much information is in your mind. Actually, it depends on how well organized the information is.Our brains can store an almost unlimited amount of information. But if the information in your mind is disorganized, it will be harder to remember things.

In some ways, the more you dig the more you got something precious. Someone who is an expert in a subject has an easier time learning new facts about it that someone unfamiliar with the subject. Learning new things does not fill up or replaced by the old memories in the mind. The storage capacity of your memory is virtually unlimited as well as bottomless. So don't be shy , hesitate or afraid of learning.

Myth 5 : You can boost your memory with memory pills

Mostly the people they are not easy with memorizing , learning or studying as well most probably they think that why don't we try memory pills for the revival of our memorizing power and beat the other rivals in class well my friend you better don't do so because this is not gonna work further most there are some drawbacks of taking pills.

Countless medicine companies are trying to market various drugs and supplements with claims of improved memory but the truth is they just trying to earn money and make you people fool. So don't be a fool and don't trust any kind of medicine or drug that can improve your learning stamina.

Myth 6 : Memory gets worse as we age

Globally, aging affects on all the organs in human body. Hence the overwhelming belief that memory unavoidably gets rusty at an older age.You may have heard someone say they were too old to learn. This is another one of the false memory myths.

While it is true that some people find remembering a more difficult as they age, anyone can learn new things. A elderly person who uses memory skills can actually remember better than a 20 year old who does not. No matter what is you age you can learn things and recall them easily if you are not victim of any kind of disease.

Myth 7 : Long sleep is good for memory

The longer we sleep the longer we healthy, no absolutely not the longer you sleep the more you become lazy and dump. And you gentlemen will surely agree with this statement of mine .  All we need for effective learning is well-structured sleep at the right time and of the optimum length. Many individuals sleep less than 5 hours and wake up refreshed. The best formula for good sleep: listen to your body. Go to sleep when you are sleepy and sleep as long as you need.

Myth 8 : Some people are stuck with bad memories

I had a son he was very responsible and five years ago in the evening of December he turned into cadaver just after hit by a car and still he is alive in my heart I can hear him I can see him because he was my son and he was a part of my heart these are called bad memories and many people now a days just ruin their lives nevertheless this is nature and we need to forget that because we have to enjoy our remaining life.

Gentlemen you can't enjoy you life unless and until you leave those bad memories behind and let yourself to move forward never let your self to move backward and this is the solid truth of your life my friend.

Myth 9 : Learn new things before you sleep

Because of the research showing the importance of sleep in learning, there is a widespread myth claiming that the best time for learning is right before sleep. This is supposed to ensure that newly learned knowledge gets quickly consolidated overnight.

Whenever you want to learn of course my dear you can do because technically your mind is ready for the task i.e learn something new. Again the more you are interested in the more you got.

Myth 10 : Well trained memory never forgets

Some people think that once they train their memory, they will never forget anything they see, do, or hear. The truth is that once you train your memory, you will be able to remember things you want to remember. If you learn memory skills, you will still forget things, too. But you will remember things better than other people, and you will remember things better than you used to.

Research suggests that no one ever forgets anything. Everything we experience is buried deep in our minds. The problem is that we cannot get the information out when we need it.Memory skills give you the "hook" that lets you get the information out when you need it.

Ladies and gentle men you are free to share your ideas and opinions.
